Next week we will report the results of several interesting and well-known companies such as $GOOGL, $MSFT, or $PG. I'm definitely interested in the results of $GOOGL, $PG, $MCD, and I'm also interested in the results of $MMM because of where they are. Of course, I look forward to seeing the results of the other companies as well.
What companies' results will you be watching... Read more
On Tuesday, eyes on $MMM and $VZ, and of course Google. Then looking forward to Thursday's $BTI. I'll end Friday with $WPC, where maybe some discount could come in.
Investors, the Fed meets next Wednesday and may well be raising interest rates by 25bps. I don't think it will do much for stocks as I think investors are already counting on it. However, I'm worried about it hitting the banks again.
For this year, some tech stocks are up tens of % and some are even up more than 100%. I have $AAPL stock included in my portfolio that is 40%+ and then I have $GOOGL stock that is 20%+ in my portfolio.
What tech stocks do you have in your portfolio and what are your gains on them?
Investors, the pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson reported results today and the results beat expectations. Overall, I see potential in pharmaceutical and medical device companies and I like to invest in them. I already have $CVS in my portfolio and plan to add $PFE to my portfolio. I would like to add $JNJ to my portfolio, but it is at a high price and I fear it will be... Read more
$JNJ is probably a fine company too, such a classic. I already have $PFE and $CVS, so I'm not thinking about it though, I'd rather build those positions.
I would like to include in my portfolio the shares of at least one agricultural company. Recently mentioned here was $DE stock which I quite like. However, I have come across one other company, and that is Archer Daniels Midlan. This American company is involved in the processing of food and agricultural raw materials.
Tomorrow, many interesting and well-known companies will report their results, but I will be most interested in the results of the Dutch company $ASML. This company produces advanced equipment for chip manufacturing. ASML is very financially stable. In addition, I would like to buy shares of a European company already. However, the stock is really high at the moment.
Before someone writes again that it's very expensive, I hope he doesn't plan to buy MSFT, AAPL, KO, PEP and similar evergreens in the near future;)
Take a look at your portfolio and see how many stocks you hold have a PEG ratio lower than 1.68
ASML has been growing 25% for the last 5 years and the forecast for the next 5 years is the same, except that analysts know exactly what earnings they will have 2 years in advance because that is how long they wait for orders to clear.
btw the fact that it is worth 800usd today solves the fractional shares, who expects this company to drop to a P/E of 25 so will wait another 5 years;)
I recently bought shares of $BAC as the stock is at a nice price. However, I am thinking of buying more shares of $JPM, but the stock is currently too high.
What stocks from the banking sector are included in your portfolio and what bank stocks are you planning to buy?
I have $BAC and a little less in $JPM. I'm not going to buy any banks right now, I expect the Fed to keep raising rates, so for now I'm waiting to see where the market goes in the second half of the year.
Recently, this company has been facing many lawsuits and many indictments and because of that, $MMM stock is also down so much. A lot of people who bought $MMMstock obviously don't like these lawsuits and the falling stock, so they are thinking whether to sell 3M stock or still hold it.
I still hold 3M stock and I keep buying more every... Read more
I'm watching them from afar. I found out about them here, as initially by all they do it looked good, but unfortunately those problems. I understand the popularity of those who hold them, but there are too many lawsuits and quite serious ones for me, what I've read has confirmed quite a lot of how it has affected health. There might be some of those expenses factored in, I might not see that as a bad thing, but especially what about reputation, I'd be more worried about a drop in orders.
Yesterday, UnitedHealth Group, a healthcare and health insurance provider, reported results.
UnitedHealth Group consists of several subsidiaries that cover different areas of the healthcare industry. The most prominent of these are UnitedHealthcare and Optum.
Results :
Revenue : $92.9 billion and expected $90.93 billion.
I've been holding $DAL and $AAL since the covid bottom, it was basically the beginning of my investing, because I thought that companies like that can't fail... :) So I'm making nice profits on my positions right now, and if we beat the pre-covid highs, that'll be awesome... :)
I was jumping in at $39 but already with caution because it was rising nicely from $30 and so I was expecting a definite top, but it looks like not and so I'm happy with the green. Otherwise I don't have this business anymore either.
These companies are just doing great business. Both $MO and $PM. They are actually such "immortal" companies since people will always buy their products.
This company specializes in waste collection, treatment, disposal and recycling and is one of the largest waste management companies in the US.
Overall, I see potential with this company as people will produce trash all the time and I like that this company focuses quite a bit on recycling as well.
I'm starting to like this company a lot too. I registered it when it was somewhere around about $150, but my attention was pulled elsewhere at the time, big shame. I think about what you write and the truth is that unfortunately man produces an infinite amount of waste and so the byznis it will always be big and the more greedy man is to be a consumer, the more waste he leaves behind. Plus the fact that they recycle and then turn it into energy, so with the development of technology to make it as green as possible I see a future in that too, making energy from waste. As you say though, a lower price would be a hell of a lot better, it's pretty near the top now.
