Little trouble for Apple, or Goldman Sachs incompetence?
It's a holiday in the US and I'm slowly working my way through the news over the last few days this morning and I came across one, admittedly unconfirmed from anyone involved, but interesting, especially for $AAPL fans
Goldman Sachs $GS is in talks to transfer Apple $AAPL credit card and savings account products to American... Read more
The five largest U.S. banks said Friday they will return more cash to shareholders after passing the Fed's stress tests early last week, a show of strength that reinforces the gap between the industry giants and smaller regional rivals.
Okay, it's the weekend and the year has swung into its second half. We often see different reviews now, what worked and what could have been done better, so I thought, I'll go to the market with my skin too. 😁 As I try to include some interesting information in each of my posts that can help, so now this will be purely my summary for 6... I see that $ENPH has the most weight, hopefully you can turn it around there, it would do a lot in overall profit. Fingers crossed, 10k is already a pretty decent amount, don't forget the power of compound interest, it will only get better! For me, it's just under +39% for the first half of the year. I'd like to finish 2023 with +50%, so I'll see if the economic situation goes my way. And if it doesn't, that's okay - I'm constantly adjusting my portfolio to the situation and I think it's possible to operate even in adverse times. The main thing is that we enjoy it. 😊
A summary of the news over the last few days around the US.
Recession, recession, recession. We hear it over and over again, even if you plug your ears. I've been hearing it a lot lately, so let's see what the situation is. Recent statements from economic strategists.
The companies you listed have been on sale for a long time. I guess I'm fine with this situation, I'll just keep shopping cheap. I bought another $PFE today. Thanks for the recap!
Warren Buffett and his generosity with $BRK-A$BRK-B
This investing legend has given an annual gift to five foundations, bringing his total charitable giving to $50 billion already. Which is more than his fortune was in 2006 when he first planned these grants.
Like this, generosity... I don't know how they do it in the US, but here you can put donations to charity as a tax expense... so you just don't give the money to the government, but to another company... but on the surface, of course, he seems like a do-gooder.)
The relationship between the US and India is certainly important. As you write, this is good news for us investors and I look forward to seeing an Indian company being created or coming up that I can invest in.
Charlie Munger and his view of healthcare in the US.
Charlie, a friend, partner of Warren, has recently been vocal about his concerns about US healthcare, literally stating that it is a system that prolongs death to make more money and comparing patients to African carcasses. 🤔
When you say uninvestable I assume you mean high risk? Because if space travel becomes a norm, it is not only going to be millionaires and billionaires using it. That would be the case if we compare with how the aviation industry took off.
It's a nice company and I've been watching it recently. However, I don't invest much in this sector, so I probably wouldn't buy its stock. But thanks for the update :)
Mineral wealth is needed, and now more than ever. It is the main building block of electronics and it is mega important to the world. We just need to find the right companies or ETFs of this mining sector.
So this is the news you wrote about :) Interesting... but I believe it will be explained somehow.
