Berkshire Hathaway invests heavily in Japan.
Its investments in Japan are the second largest of any country, after the US.
At the same time, Buffett said he does not want to hold more than a 9.9% stake in either company.

Have you bought any interesting stocks lately?
I'm wondering if you're more likely to keep adding to a select few stocks, or if you're looking for new promising companies. 🤔
Unlike the Fed, the ECB raised rates by 25 basis points. They are now the highest they have been in 22 years.

I've read about it and there's a noticeable increase in terms of estimates, so it's 100% that.

The market is now in euphoria and anything that beats analysts' estimates by even a whisker is going up...
The crypto has been slowly growing for the last 6 months and so I ask you and your crystal balls; will we get to the top again this year? 🤔😀
How invested are you in cryptocurrencies?

I would guess that we won't see the top this year, but I'm really predicting that from a crystal ball. I'm not otherwise invested in cryptocurrencies at all. I may buy a small portion of bitcoin sometime in the future, but that's about it.

I sold the Met when they went crazy on Metaverse and poured a lot of money into it. I just didn't like their decisions. Now, unfortunately, it's at such prices that it's not very attractive.
How are you going to work with the information that OPEC will probably cut production by another million bpd?
Is anyone trading this news? 🧐

I trade oil occasionally, but I'm still learning and if I understand this correctly, this news could be a catalyst for a price increase no, when production drops, once oil inventories drop, the price will rise. This week they've gotten low again so there could be some upside. It's been going nicely in cycles sideways for the last few months now, still from $70-80 since the new year, then the range widened to about $65-80. We'll see, it's not a recommendation, but we could be looking at a price around that $80 again. I see resistance there, which has been tested several times.

I watched it yesterday too and found it interesting. And as you write it's actually a bit of a paradox that the index reacted positively to it.
What do you think the hype around 5G looks like? It's very much overshadowed by the AI bubble right now, but it seems to me that it's probably the longest-running hype there's been in a while.
Are you buying any telecom stocks etc? 🤔

5G will evolve a lot over time. It still has a lot to offer and we are not using its full potential.

This market is crazy, that's it.
I keep wondering if we are in an AI bubble or if the optimism in the markets is justified.
What do you think? 🤔

I think it's kind of Google vs Microsoft here... :) both companies are "similar", both are huge, and I guess you can't say one is globally better than the other... maybe if it was chopped up into pieces...
It's just that the country's so heavily in debt...
