Good evening, I would like to know what made you the most happy this year in terms of investments. For me it wasn't the biggest gain, but it was the inclusion of $BRK-B, but the growth of technology stocks was also pleasing:)
Hi, I was wondering how you see the future of $BRK-B. I am currently investing regularly and it seems to me that even without Buffett it will do nicely.
We have big news today and generally it's going to be pretty busy again. In the meantime, I'm wondering, what about you and the housing market?
About two months ago Paul posted info here regarding $BRK-B' s purchases and albeit smaller amounts, but the inclusion of $LEN and $DHI in their portfolio. These two companies are in the US building, building and selling new homes + $LEN... Read more
I only eat DCA, so to speak, as part of portfolio dilution/rebalancing. Alternatively, I also break up my purchases into multiple parts. But that I regularly put the same amount in the same title, no.
What do you think of Berkshire $BRK-B's quarterly results? 🤔
Berkshire Hathaway reported second-quarter earnings per share (EPS) of $3.75, missing analysts' estimates of $3.76. Revenue for the quarter was $82.12 billion, compared to the consensus estimate of $82.14 billion.
Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway $BRK-B) sold 70% of his investment in Activision Blizzard $ATVI in the second quarter, and appears to have lost some of the gains as a federal judge said Microsoft can complete its $68.7 billion acquisition of the video game maker.
Berkshire Hathaway $BRK-B announced that it has acquired additional shares of oil company Occidental Petroleum Corp $OXY, increasing its stake to more than 25%.
Great news, I've been overbought recently too as they were down quite a bit so hopefully they'll go up already, but I trust them, if Buffett, so do I. 😁
Warren Buffett and his generosity with $BRK-A$BRK-B
This investing legend has given an annual gift to five foundations, bringing his total charitable giving to $50 billion already. Which is more than his fortune was in 2006 when he first planned these grants.
Like this, generosity... I don't know how they do it in the US, but here you can put donations to charity as a tax expense... so you just don't give the money to the government, but to another company... but on the surface, of course, he seems like a do-gooder.)
Berkshire Hathaway $BRK-A$BRK-Bboosted its holdings in five Japanese trading companies in the last quarter. The five companies are Itochu, Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Mitsui and Sumitomo.
I've got it written in my notes, and I'll have a look. He would like to invest using the DCA method. So I'm tempted too and it's quite possible I'll include $BRK-B in my portfolio soon :)
Nicely written👍. I only have PEP in my portfolio and it's enough for now.
